Burnout

They say healing isn’t linear

It is a tesseract, constantly changing evolving into shapes that dissolve upon recognition

They say you don’t just lose weight, it falls away with water —in pee and sweat

I wonder how many versions of me I have lost in tears?

They say resilience is a virtue

I think it a prison sometimes—it is hell, but at least there are 3 hots and a cot

When the gurus say acceptance is the key to peace,

I hear that I should accept that there will be none

My soul is tired, but yet trudges on.

My hope is relentless

The blessing of being human
