They say healing isn’t linear
It is a tesseract, constantly changing evolving into shapes that dissolve upon recognition
They say you don’t just lose weight, it falls away with water —in pee and sweat
I wonder how many versions of me I have lost in tears?
They say resilience is a virtue
I think it a prison sometimes—it is hell, but at least there are 3 hots and a cot
When the gurus say acceptance is the key to peace,
I hear that I should accept that there will be none
My soul is tired, but yet trudges on.
My hope is relentless
